SURGERY
THe Animal Health Care Center provides routine surgical services such as spaying and neutering as well as other abdominal surgerys, ear trims, some orthopedic procedures and removal of masses. If a procedure is too complicated or if you would prefer a board certified surgeon, we are happy to refer to one of the three surgeons in our area.
The Animal Health Care Center provides a discount for spaying and neutering twice yearly as well as participating in Charlotte Mecklenburg Animal Control's voucher program. |

LABORATORY
Animal Health Care Center has equipment for in house blood chemistries for immediate results when needed. We use an outside laboratory for hematology (blood counts) and more complicated tests. Tests taken in the afternoon and sent out usually have results the next morning. |

PHARMACY
The Animal Health Care Center has an in office pharmacy to provide most of your pets prescription needs. Prices are competative with area pharmacies. We stock many drugs that are not available or are more reasonably priced than in human pharmacies.
We also use a area pharmacies, a local compounding pharmacy as well as our own on-line pharmacy to provide those products that we either do not carry or are not routinely available.
We carry a full line of heartworm preventatives and Veterinary flea control products as well |

DENTISTRY
Dentistry is an important part of your pets health. By controlling tartar and gingivitis, you can protect your pets teeth and improve their over all health.
We have many products designed to control these problems. Should your pet require it, we have ultrasonic scaling available to remove the tartar from their teeth and get a fresh start.
We refer more complicted procedures such as root canals. |

HOUSE CALLS
Dr. Rubin was Charlotte-Mecklenburg's first house call practice and continues to provide home health care on an appointment basis.
Home sevices include vacinations, and routine health care, sick visits should your pet not be feeling well and transportation to and from the hospital.
House calls appointments are not always available. If possible, call several days in advance of your desired appointment time. If you think your pet is ill, please call as early in the day as possible to allow us time to work you in to our schedule |
